Thanksgiving Dinner With Family

Thanksgiving is around the corner which means it’s time to start planning your feast. Try these three delicious Thanksgiving recipes for an interesting, mouth-watering addition to the platter:

Butternut Squash Soup

Gather butternut squash, butter, onion, chicken stock, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cut your squash into 1-inch cubes. Melt your butter in a large pot and add onion. Once the onion is cooked to translucence, add the squash and stock.

Simmer and cook until tender, then use a slotted spoon to remove remaining squash cubes and puree them in a blender. Re-add the pureed squash and season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to your taste.

Cranberry Nut Bread

This moist, sweet, and tart bread combines cranberries, walnuts, and orange zest to make a delicious and light loaf. Chop your cranberries and walnuts and add them to a batter of milk, eggs, orange juice, baking powder, butter and sugar and bake until the crust is golden-brown.

Sausage-Stuffed Mushrooms

This unconventional Thanksgiving dish melds white mushrooms together with tender sausage, fresh veggies, and creamy cheese. Cook sausage along with scallions and garlic then stir in mascarpone and Parmesan cheese. Stuff into olive-oil and Marsala-coated mushrooms and then bake until the stuffing is browned and crispy on the top.
