It’s not exactly a secret that Mazda has been producing high-quality vehicles since it hit the American auto scene roughly 50 years ago. That reputation has only been reinforced by U.S. News & World Report, which named the automaker its Best Car Brand for the sixth consecutive year in 2020.
In order to compile the list, the editors at U.S. News looked at 34 brands across the four major vehicle segments — cars, SUVs, trucks, and luxury vehicles. After careful evaluation, they determined that Mazda hadn’t slipped an inch from the heights it achieved during the past five years.
The publication was particularly impressed by the Mazda3, Mazda6, and Mazda MX-5 Miata. Jamie Page Deaton, the Executive Editor of U.S. News & World Report, said, “All three models have top-notch performance that puts an emphasis on direct, sporty handling, as well as quality interiors that are more upscale than their price tags might suggest.”
Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the only award Mazda garnered during 2020. According to The News Wheel’s Kimiko Kidd, the automaker scored more Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick titles than any competitor, and the Mazda CX-5 won the distinction of Best Premium Compact SUV from the Golden Steering Awards. It also snagged a coveted spot on Car and Driver’s 10Best list.
It would seem that the results are in: Mazda vehicles are as good — or somehow even better — than you expected. Find your perfect fit by checking out our online inventory or paying us a visit at Atzenhoffer Mazda.
